This week, 757 new students begin their studies at Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences, with students starting their studies in Tallinn, Kohtla-Järve and Narva. Of these, 65 are beginning their studies at master’s level, 424 in professional higher education programmes and 268 in vocational education programmes.

Students beginning professional higher education studies will enrol in the General Nurse, Midwife, Assistatnt Pharmacist, Dental Technician, Optometrist, Occupational Therapist and Health Promotion study programmes. At Master’s level, students will begin their studies in the Health Sciences programme.

Vocational education students will begin their studies in the Care Worker, Dental Assistant, Childminder, Client worker for people with mental health problems and Clinical secretary programmes.

New master’s specialisation module for midwives

This autumn, Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences is introducing the first Master’s-level specialisation module in Estonia specifically designed for midwives: “Mental health midwifery in reproductive health.”

Developed as part of the Health Sciences Master’s programme, the module provides midwives with advanced knowledge and skills at master’s level to address mental health issues related to reproductive health, provide evidence-based support, and plan and coordinate the health journey of women and families.
