Health Education Summit Tallinn 2026 brought together international health education experts
On 6–7 May, the international conference Health Education Summit Tallinn 2026 (HEST2026) took place at the National Library of Estonia in Tallinn. The event brought together experts, researchers, and practitioners in the field of health education from both Estonia and abroad.
The first day of the two-day conference offered a substantive and diverse programme, which was opened in a lively manner by the MUBA saxophone quartet.
This was followed by presentations on various healthcare and health education topics. The keynote speakers included the Rector of Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences, Ülle Ernits, Emeritus Professor Hugh McKenna, and Dr Kadi Krinal.
The day concluded with a panel discussion on priorities in health education in 2026, featuring Kadi Krinal, Alena Lochmannová, Kurt Cassar, and Raina Uljas.
The second day of the conference was also dedicated to research presentations and discussions. The keynote speakers were Professor Dr Sascha Köpke, Professor Merike Sisask, and Dr Kaire Sildver.
The two-day event concluded with the announcement of the best presentation and best poster awards. In both categories, recognition was awarded to the representative of Portugal, Pedro Sousa.
HEST2026 once again confirmed the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange in advancing health education.
