Call for abstracts

 

Since 2017, the North Estonia Medical Centre and Tallinn Health Care College have been organising the international research and development conference "5 Star Nursing", which has become a yearly tradition, focusing on two benchmarks of Estonian nursing: the Standardised Nursing Language and the implementation of the Magnet® nursing quality model in practice.  The overall aim of the conference series is to discuss with innovative and ambitious developers in Estonian healthcare and external experts, sharing their success stories how these benchmarks can enhance research and development, quality of nursing care and patient safety.

 

We welcome oral and poster presentations on topics related to, but not limited to: 

 

Education, research and implementation of Standardised Nursing Language (Nanda I, NIC and NOC);

Electronic Health Record;

Magnet®;

Nursing Quality.

 

It can be either on an empirical study, a literature review, a development project, or cases. All presentations can be either in Estonian or in English (synchronized translation is available in the conference). 

All abstracts should be in English. Abstract submissions should include the following information: 

  • Names and surnames for each author. Please include degrees or titles. 
  • Affiliations: each author should be listed by institution, city, and country.
  • Text of the abstract, max 350 words: Background, Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusions, References, Keywords (consider MeSH).

The conference abstract book will be published online in the Proceedings, indexed with an ISBN code.
