Needs-based special allowance is financial aid granted to a student for obtaining an education on the basis of the conditions set out in this document and the financial situation of the person, if the student's application for needs-based study allowance has been declined.
The due date for applying for needs-based special allowance for the autumn semester of the 2023/2024 academic year is 24.09.2023.
The amount of needs-based special allowance is 135 EUR per month.
The students from less privileged families are supported by the state upon covering the additional costs incurred in acquiring higher education. The aim of need-based study allowance (hereinafter study allowance) is to provide assistance to students, whose households are unable to support them, motivate them to study full time and successfully and complete a curriculum during nominal period of study.
Need-based study allowance can be applied for by a student who complies with following conditions:

- exclusion from the list of students (exmatriculation)

- How long do the studies last and how often do the lectures take place?
The Academic Regulations are based on the following: Higher Education Act, Vocational Educational Institutions Act, the Statutes of Tallinn Health Care College.
Compliance with the Academic Regulations is mandatory for the entire membership of the College (students, academic and non-academic staffs), regardless of the status of a learner, or the form of any contract that establishes a basis for execution of duties of the staff.
Students matriculated at the College shall be entered in the register of the Estonian Education Information System (EHIS).
